Procedures by which parents will be notified in advance of and given the opportunity to approve, in writing, the participation of their children in any instruction or presentations on sexual orientation or gender identity. In the absence of written consent from a parent, a child shall be considered automatically withdrawn from instruction or presentations on sexual orientation or gender identity.

Instruction or presentations on sexual orientation or gender identity shall not be included in any course of instruction offered in public schools in this state, including, without limitation, the standard course of study and support materials, locally developed curriculum, supplemental instruction, textbooks, or other supplementary materials, regardless of whether such instruction or presentations are provided by school personnel or third parties;
