The state or its political subdivisions and instrumentalities may provide environments designated for one sex exclusively, where the single sexes are not similarly situated, including: (1) prisons and detention centers; (2) athletic facilities, including locker rooms; (3) athletic competitions; (4) institutions of higher education; (5) living facilities; (6) bathrooms; (7) domestic violence shelters; and (8) rape crisis centers.

A school district shall ensure that each elementary school and secondary school served by the district post on a publicly accessible website [...] a summary notice of the rights of parents to information about their children's education as required pursuant to the Parental Bill of Rights Act, which shall be in an understandable format for parents and include: [...] L. the right to know if a school employee or contractor acts to: (1) change a minor child's gender markers, pronouns or preferred name; or (2) allow a student to change the student's sex-based accommodations, including locker rooms or bathrooms;
