The following words, whenever they appear in this code, have the following meanings unless otherwise apparent from the context or otherwise explicitly defined: (1) BOY. A human male who has not yet reached adulthood. (2) FATHER. The male parent of a child or children. (3) FEMALE. When used in reference to a natural person, an individual who has, had, will have, or would have, but for a developmental anomaly, genetic anomaly, or accident, the reproductive system that at some point produces ova. (4) GIRL. A human female who has not yet reached adulthood. (6) MALE. When used in reference to a natural person, an individual who has, had, will have, or would have, but for a developmental anomaly, genetic anomaly, or accident, the reproductive system that at some point produces sperm. (7) MAN. An adult human of the male sex. (9) MOTHER. The female parent of a child or children.
An individual or group of individuals providing classroom instruction to students in kindergarten prekindergarten through the fifth twelfth grade at a public K-12 preK-12 school shall not engage in classroom discussion or provide classroom instruction regarding sexual orientation or gender identity in a manner that is not age appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students in accordance with state standards.
An employee of a public school or public institution of higher education, regardless of the scope of his or her official duties: (1) Shall not [...] intentionally address an unemancipated minor student by a name other than the student's legal name [...] or by a pronoun or title that is inconsistent with the student's sex without the written permission of a student's parent or guardian; [...] (3) Shall not be subject to adverse employment action for declining to identify his or her pronouns.
To further provide for the definition of "sexual conduct"; to further provide for the applicability of certain criminal provisions; and to make nonsubstantive, technical revisions to update the existing code language to current style.
A public K-12 school or public library shall not knowingly present or sponsor any drag performance in the presence of a minor without the consent of the minor's parent or legal guardian.
This bill would require a minor to be at least 18 years of age to consent to medical, dental, and mental health services, [...] including participation in [...] guidance counseling and any programming [...] relating to mental health, suicide provention [sic], or bullying prevention;
